German helmet M40 Waffen SS Feldgrau WW2

This faithful reproduction of the German helmet model M40 is made under our supervision, using original examples from our private collection. It meets the highest standards of authenticity and quality.

Made from sturdy 1.6 mm steel – identical to that used on period helmets – this reproduction features the exact shade of field grey (feldgrau) used by Heer forces. It features a genuine leather inner lining, leather drawstring and pre-fitted chinstrap, for an authentic, ready-to-use look.

Introduced in 1940, the M40 helmet was used by all branches of the German army: Heer, Luftwaffe, Waffen-SS, Polizei and Kriegsmarine. It retains the upturned edges characteristic of the M35 model, but is distinguished by its ventilation eyelets molded directly into the shell.

Produced on a large scale during the Second World War, this version was gradually replaced by the M42 model.

Our reproduction, painted in feldgrau, can be customized with camouflage or decals of German insignia, for an even more faithful rendering of the original.
